Built in late 1923, the interior of the home
has been 99% restored. The home has 2
zone central heat and air, solid red oak and
yellow pine floors, a very large kitchen, and
2.5 baths. In March 2006, the owners had
the 1978 aluminum siding removed to
expose the beautiful original wood siding,
the majority of which was in excellent
condition. Over the next 6 months the home
will be repainted, the porch roof and the
porch flooring replaced due to leaks and
rotten wood. The porch was metal, however,
it has been removed and evidence
underneath shows that it is not original to
the home. The new roof will be shingles to
match the main body, which based on what
was discovered under the metal would be
the closest to historically accurate for the
home. Recently three brick columns were
erected at the corners of the front yard and
the corner where the walkway and driveway
meet. They are adorned with beautiful
granite tops, concrete urns filled with flowers
and Craftsman style lights. The owners
strongly support historic designation.
C.1930, this is a 2-story craftsman that
needs to be brought up to date. Many of
the exterior details of the home have been
lost due to the placement of vinyl siding
on the home. The interior retains it's
original distinctive features, which include
it's original kitchen cabinets plus those
added in a 1950's remodel. This house
will be seeing upgraded heating and A/C
and new paint. It will be available for
purchase towards the end of the year.
